Summary
Draco and Hermione spent the entirety of eighth year side by side as prefects actually getting to know each other as friends and unity partners. The prologue starts off at their graduation day with some flashbacks to a Halloween party during eighth year.
5 years after a massive misunderstanding, Draco and Hermione are thrust back together by their respective jobs to solve the mystery of the muggleborn witches and wizards turning up in what appears to be a semi petrified state.
Auror Harry Potter enlists the help of best friend Hermione Granger with her expertise in curse breaking. Her partner? Theodore Nott, who enlists the best healer he knows to help keep the muggleborns in good health while they work together to figure out who is behind leaving this string of victims left on the doorstep of the DMLE.
No one knows how they're getting there, who is doing it to them or why. Draco and Hermione come face to face after 5 years apart with no contact. Theo discovered Harry is aware of Hermione and Draco's feelings for one another and that when the chaos and meddling ensues.
This will be multi-POV (it will be clearly marked) with flashbacks, banter and chaos.

The golden strings of fire danced merrily above the silver linings of the Goblet, staying almost exactly in tune with the not-so-harmonious singing of the Hogwarts School Song. The colors shifted as smoke traced every edge and corner of the bright stars that adorned the ceiling, and the bright red turned into one of the most dazzling blues, the color as light as the morning sky in the Quidditch Field- like the water at the lake when the sun is directly overhead.
Silence coated the hall as the diamond flames dipped themselves into a low bow, caressing themselves against the nails of Dumbledore's hand. A single piece of yellow parchment twirled itself comfortably beside his silver ring, imitating the movement of a snake.
