A year after the war, most of the former seventh years return to Hogwarts to finish their NEWTS. The newly introduced "Eighth Years" are supposed to be a prime example of inter-house unity and therefore share a common room.
Draco Malfoy, with his father rotting in Azkaban and his mother living with distant relatives in France, returns to school alongside very few other Slytherins. Having played a huge part in the war, Draco's family is looked down upon, and so is he. The ministry took his wand in exchange for him being able to finish his education. Having been left completely defenseless at the mercy of many angry students, it doesn't take long for the first grudges to result in attacks against the young Malfoy heir.
What nobody expected though, was for war hero Harry James Potter himself to step in and put an end to the childish attempts at revenge.How come Harry suddenly wants to help his former nemesis?
