Hermione's eyes widened as she realized the mistake, her face draining of color. "No...no, no, no! We don't have the moonpetal extract! It's ruined! The whole potion's ruined!"
Draco looked up, a smirky smile on his face. "Ah, seems someone's lost their grip on their so called 'expertise'."
Hermione's anger boiled over. "You idiot! You were supposed to be paying attention! We had one job, Malfoy, and you were busy mansplaining the differences between wolfsbane and asphodel and distracted me!"
Draco's smile dropped, his eyes flashing with irritation. "Watch it, Granger. You're not exactly the potion's greatest hope."
Hermione's voice rose, her words laced with venom. "You're the one who's going to make us fail, Malfoy. You think you're so much better than everyone else, but you're just a pretentious, self-absorbed prat!"
Draco's face darkened, his voice dropping to a menacing tone. "How dare you. You know nothing about me."
Their argument escalated, drawing a crowd of onlookers. Slughorn intervened, trying to calm them down.
"Ah, ah, my dear students...perhaps a break."
But Hermione and Draco were beyond reason, their anger and frustration boiling over.
