    “What,” Chuuya says sharply, as if his urgency in demand would make Dazai get to the point faster. They both know that it won’t, but still, Chuuya humors him in the tone of his answer.

    “Promise me you’ll remember me,” Dazai says with somber eyes full of earnest request.

    “Don’t make me promise that, shitty Dazai.”

    Dazai looks taken aback by the answer, but Chuuya wasn’t done speaking, “People only ask you to remember them when they’re planning to leave.”

    Blue eyes meet brown ones as they both try hold back the turmoil of their feelings from showing.

    Chuuya carries on with a final blow to their conversation, “If you’re planning to leave,” he cuts off for a moment and continues with a whisper of, “don’t ask me to remember it.”


    Or, Chuuya finds Dazai while he's packing, minutes away from leaving the Port Mafia
