Summary

But...he starts to form connections, and the thought of those connections suffering because of him is too much to bear. Because of it, he almost agrees to the worst proposal he's heard in his life. Thank goodness he managed to snap out of it.

He was only five years old when it dawned on him how utterly and truly alone he was.
He’d been waiting like a good boy for over three hours now right outside of the big department store in his town. It was nearly dark, the street lamps were starting to light up and yet here he was, waiting patiently for someone he wasn’t sure was coming. The last rays of sunlight were beginning to give way to the eternal blanket of a long night, the chill in the air more pronounced and prominent than before.
He felt lonely and abandoned.
Yet still hopeful.

Summary
It has been cold for twelve years of his life. Cloudy and gloomy, nothing could provide warmth no matter how thick a blanket is and no matter how much he curls into himself.
None of the community within his town ever offered a glance of kindness, they were full of disgust and Sakura, only let himself continue to be surrounded by the pooling rain that drenched him.
And yet somehow coming here, the sun always shined, drying him and keeping him warm.
Or, Sakura and the grueling realization that he indeed likes affection.
