After a long chase, Connor and a fellow officer finally apprehend a suspect. Connor’s thrilled not just because the mission succeeded, but because he hopes Hank will see it and feel proud.
But when Hank misreads the situation and praises the wrong person, Connor feels upset.
Later that evening, Hank finds himself opening the door to an android clearly drunk and disoriented, holding out a pinky for a promise.

Clark hears how Bruce's breath hitches, catching in his throat. It only spurs Clark on.

Bilbo watched Thorin as his hunger and yearning for the Arkenstone became an obsession to find it. He looked into Thorin’s feverish gaze and saw his desire to possess the glowing gem. Deep within himself, Bilbo felt an answering burning need. A need for Thorin to look at him with such fervor and devotion. And, well, Bilbo already had the Arkenstone and Thorin's trust. Shifting Thorin’s attention from it to him wouldn’t be that difficult.
