As that word came out of Bucky’s mouth the air in the room thinned. The two boys just stared at each other and Bucky looked 16 again. He looked terrified and Steve wasn’t even sure what of.
Steve had been called that word a thousand times before. It hadn’t hurt until now though.

Summary
I am incredibly unhappy with how season 5 volume 2 has gone and to try and comfort myself (and hopefully you) I've written how I imagine the perfect finale would be because I'm experiencing some Byler doubt. Also I have no predications for how they are going to defeat Vecna so I'm just skipping that out!!
Okay everyone I wrote this before the last episode and some of it is scarily true but i hope you can read this and pretend it happened instead of the finale.
