Summary
Parrot circles a random, scribbled note about a supposed connection to a weird portal in the nether. It’s the fifth time he’s looked at this note and the fifth time it leads to nothing. He knows it’s likely a wild goose chase, just like the other thirty leads he’s fruitlessly followed in the past week. But still, the thought of finding something, ANYTHING, keeps him going. The alternative is sinking, drowning in the grief he refuses to acknowledge.

Summary
Max turned the razor over in his fingers, spinning the cool metal in his fingers as he perched on the porcelain bath. Running a finger tip over the edge, he spun it around once, twice, then a third time. The weekend had been dreadful, P7 and then a DNF on the first lap, neither his fault. If anything that made it worse, however. Mistakes, he’d learned how to punish himself for more…constructively, to learn from and move on, but not one but two completely unavoidable incidents? Max swallowed, staring down at his warped reflection on the blade. Weekends like this left him feeling powerless, out of control and desperate for some way to regain it.
The razor seemed to taunt him, offering him a solution with an easy cruelty. He only hoped he wouldn’t be too weak to resist it; lonely Sunday nights like these had always been the worst.
