If you ask Dazai, his answer would be a resounding, no. Not that anyone bothers to ask him anyway. If they had, he wouldn’t be stuck in this mess. But now, after everything that’s been said and done, it seems too late to turn back. The bond between them – this twisted, painful thing – is something he believes can’t be fixed. It’s been nothing but agony for him since the moment it was forced on them. The thought of hoping for anything different feels too painful to even entertain.
If you ask Chuuya (the Chuuya of the present, not his younger, self-centered, asshole self, thank you very much), he’d really, really like the answer to be yes. Because if it’s no, he loses not just the bond, but any chance of rebuilding trust between them. He’s spent years running from the very thing he now fears losing. Summary
Dazai, in a moment of curiosity (and perhaps questionable judgment), stumbles upon a website selling sex toys that can be linked to a person in real time. Naturally, he buys one for himself, purely for research purposes, of course.
Unfortunately, he's out of the country when the package arrives. Even more unfortunately, Chuuya is the one who receives it. Hoping for some prime blackmail material, Chuuya tears open the box… only to find the toy inside.
One thing leads to another, and Chuuya - blissfully unaware that the device is synced to Dazai - decides to put it to good use. Meanwhile, miles away, Dazai is abruptly, helplessly, and very publicly experiencing the consequences of his impulse purchase.
