Shee, after already having doubts about where his life will lead, gets sent out on a new mission where he must twist the truth about himself. It’s not a solo mission, however, and he is accompanied on the field by a former teammate - the same one he had developed a soft spot for and had unintentionally hurt.
A promise by her kage to get the freedom she has desired for a long time convinces Ruka to agree to this one last mission. While working undercover, she’s able to find herself… and perhaps a little bit more.
It's somewhat related to Unmask Yourself :), but in no way reading it is mandatory for following the current story (though I suspect only people who read the first one and are fans of Shee and/or Ruka would come for this one).

Summary
The war was over. It took about a year for the villages to start rebuilding and reach some level of recovery. The need for a symbolic reminder of how devastating a war could be has arisen. The Five Great Villages decided an annual ritual should be created. The participants in the first one should hide their real faces behind faceless masks to conceal their identities from all the other people. The initial idea of hiding identities among each other worked to some extent but mostly didn’t.
While travelling together, the shinobi get closer to each other, becoming more trusting, and start seeing things in themselves and in others that they wouldn't notice before. The slow revelation of their true selves is just like taking off their masks. The bonds they form would tie them for a lifetime.
Smouldering feelings will raise their flames high and daring, finally setting the fire they were waiting for to ignite. New flames will appear, still weak and unsure — some will survive, some will be carried back home... -

But she's trying too hard, putting in tremendous efforts, and starting to fall back, unable to reach her short-term goals. And here is her salvation in the face of Naruto, her oldest and best friend, who offers her support. He has created a little group for gaming online but is conscious about introducing Sakura to it because he knows she is the "all-in, all-out” type. Eventually, he lets her be, thinking that he will be able to prevent her from falling into a deep addiction.
Sakura discovers a whole new world in the online space and realises that friendships can bloom as well there as face-to-face ones, even better.PS: It is rated M because I'm paranoid and I don't yet know how much into details about game addiction I'm going to fall into while writing. If it turns out as intended (initially a light reading), the rating will change accordingly.
