“You wanna go for a ride?” Ilya asks him, and Shane has this really bad thought that yes, yes thanks, he would really really like to go for a ride in Ilya’s fucking race car, even though the answer should unequivocally be fuck no, absolutely no, you psycho, stay away from me.
Shane licks his lips and he looks at Ilya’s shiny black car, and Ilya’s long body and his tanned arms, and he runs his hand through his hair again. Nervous habit. Ilya notices. “What’s your name?”
“It’s fuck off,” Hayden interrupts, putting his arm around Shane succinctly, giving Ilya a shit eating grin. “Leave him alone. He’s not interested.”
“Think he is,” Ilya argues, not taking his eyes off of Shane for one solitary second.
