‘Sam.’ Dean’s voice dropped soft like it always used to before he had to break a hard truth to his brother. ‘We aren’t talking about a bum knee here, or a bump, or a bruise. We’re talking about the Mark. Some enchanted water isn’t going to cure it.’
‘It’s not enchanted,’ Sam sighed in frustration, hair falling forward into his face. ‘And I don’t expect it to cure you, I just thought maybe it would help a little.’
‘Help what?’
Sam looked up from under his hair, bottom lip quivering just a little, hands reaching up to cross and hook over the dip between his neck and shoulder on either side while his thumbs rubbed nervously at his clavicle bones; giving the combined effect of a teenage Sam still wildly uncomfortable with the gangly body that he didn’t quite fit into yet and trying to shrink inside himself under his brother’s avidly intent gaze.
‘Help you, Dean,’ Sam finally murmured.Sam tries to help his brother find some rest from the ever present voice of the Mark of Cain.

Summary
Okay, again, story summary goes here, but I always feel I owe my reader a disclaimer when MPREG gets involved because it can be a real squicky trigger. So. Yes, this story centers around Dean's pregnancy, but there is a really lovely dynamic going on between the brothers that I was genuinely proud of on finishing this (much like my other piece that has this forward warning) and I don't think you'll be disappointed if you give it a shot. 'Nuf said.
John has been suppressing Dean's heats for years, and that can be a dangerous business for Omegas. When Sam comes of age and presents as an Alpha, he swears to set things right and get his brother away from John and the life and finally give him what he most needs and craves. What he doesn't know, is that there is a very good reason John has been doing what he has, and he might just be taking his brother's life in his hands when he decides to break the rules.

Okay, so the story summary goes here, but I know lots of you are seeing the "mpreg" tag and just skipping this entirely. I totally get that. No problem. However--at the risk of sounding VERY arrogant--even I'm impressed with how well Sam and Dean came out on the page in this one, and even though the whole story centers around Dean's pregnancy, there is a LOT more here. If you can stomach it to give it a try, I don't think you'll regret it. So, summary:
Dean is determined to keep Sam from scratching the Wall holding back Hell in his head, and it's becoming more and more apparent that the only solution may be to pull them both out of the Hunter life altogether. Dean knows the hardest part will be convincing Sam, until a practical joke yields very real consequences that may just give Dean the out he needs, except Sam's reaction isn't anything he ever could have anticipated.
