Summary
Rebecca had told Keeley, after months of being badgered to sign up for the app, that her Bantr expectations were lower than rock bottom. She'd had only one relationship, one single romantic partner in her life that had made her feel the way characters did in films. The kind of love that people wrote poetry about. But they'd been young and impulsive and without obligations back then, and Rebecca has long since given up hoping to capture it again.
Until, that is, a familiar face turns up when she agrees to meet the Bantr match she's been texting with for the last few weeks.

Summary
The watch arrives from a local courier, in an Apple bag, not in a box with international postage, so she has no reason to suspect it's from Ted.
But, it is. Of course it is.
He calls – FaceTimes, actually – only moments after she's unwrapped it, having given up looking for a note.
"You ready to be walking buddies?" he says, holding up his own wrist and matching watch for the camera to see.

Summary
She’d had the realization about three months ago, when she was hip-deep in planning, and preparing for their match against West Ham, and dealing with her now-involved mother, that Ted wasn’t just a friend. She’d invited him over to look at resort options, ordered them take-away and they’d drained a bottle of wine together and half the night was gone before she realized her leg was pressed against his thigh and he had an arm around her shoulder, leaning in to better see the laptop screen. He was telling her a story about Henry’s first trip to the beach when she’d looked over at him, really, properly looked at him, in a way she’d never allowed herself to before. Her breath had caught and her chest caved in and she’d realized with absolutely no preamble or fair warning that she was desperately in love with the man sitting next to her, talking obliviously about how much his son hates sand between his toes and it had taken all her willpower and self-preservation not to lean in right then and kiss him.

Summary
prompt: the beginning of tedbecca through facetime/video chats and texts
//
He stares down at the blue and gray bubbles, blurring as they go in and out of focus through the haze of whiskey.
The last timestamp says May 2 and he aches a little bit with the fact that it's been three months since they even spoke like this, let alone over the phone or, God forbid, in person. That ache moves his fumbling fingers and suddenly the newest timestamp says Now and when he looks at the message, his nauseous stomach turns even more.
I miss you.
