Summary
Danny Fenton, accomplished engineer with an interest in space, was recruited to Project Hail Mary. His unorthodox creations, stemming from his parents research into "ecto-science", have revolutionised fields.
However, his unusual health complications leave him listed as Backup Engineer, even as DuBois and Shapiro die, as Dr Grace gives up his life for Earth, as Danny watches the crew leave the earth's surface. Never to return.
