Summary
When team Avatar let him join the group, he almost cried. He knew that he still wasn’t fully trusted by the group, but the fact that they gave him a room in the Western Air Temple was a lot of progress. He was genuinely excited for the days to come.
But Katara burst into his room to give him a talking to, leaving Zuko back in a bad place.
Because she was right. He had done nothing but hurt them. He had done nothing to deserve this room, or the food they offered, or their trust.

Larry did not nod, because Miles wasn’t allowed any amount of mercy, apparently. Instead, his eyes widened until they looked as if they might pop out of his skull and he leaped to his feet, making Miles jump.
“Wait! If your into dudes, then that means that the gal you’re hung up on is--”
Miles felt every muscle in his body tense as time seemed to freeze, a moment of calm before the storm. Dammit, he should never have said anything! Of course Larry knew how he felt about him what was Miles thinking--
“Larry,” he pleaded, horrified, “please--”
“You like Nick, don’t you?” Larry barreled on, pointing an accusing finger and grinning like an idiot. “This is so crazy! So what are you gonna do, man?”
Miles had stopped listening. This was it. This was the end. It couldn’t possibly get worse than this and, oh, wonderful, his breathing was speeding up.
