Summary
On Earth, a man goes looking for trouble and finds it. After barely surviving an encounter with an otherworldly creature, he is found by a man in a shaggy coat claiming to be a Playwright. He is given an offer: In exchange for entertaining an unknown audience, the Playwright will give him a chance to be reborn and experience new lives across many different worlds, keeping all that he has gained. Thinking he has nothing to lose, the man accepts. He gets far more than he bargained for, soon discovering that a journey across worlds is neither easy nor simple, especially as trouble still follows him wherever he goes.
