Inspired by this prompt from the kink meme:
Graves had been watching over Credence before Grindelwald supplanted him. During the big showdown, Graves manages to escape his prison and, despite being badly wounded, apparates to the scene.Just in time to throw up shields to protect Credence from the aurors' attempts to kill him.
No-Angst Option:
The shield works. Credence survives, Grindelwald is defeated, and Credence gets to experience what it's like to have the real Graves fighting in his corner.Angst Option:
Graves is weakened by torture and wandless, so while he's able to shield Credence the strain of it kills him. This is some fluffy silliness I wrote in reaction to "The Girl Who Knew Too Much." Anyone looking for a serious story should probably look elsewhere. However, if you want to know the kind of flaws Stiles discovers in Derek's possible dates, this is the place for you.

Poor Mister Baggins. He was doomed to be a nine-days wonder no matter what and is it any wonder after a year-long adventure? Even the Tooks haven’t the influence to hush that up, but Mad Baggins seems to have managed to silence every tongue in the Shire on that subject which would be awe-inspiring ...if not for the way he decided to go about it.
