Summary
Annie talks Beth into going to a new bar in town for New Year's Eve. Beth is a 33-year-old businesswoman who has built herself a successful career as an Interior Designer. She is divorced and dating someone again. Annie gets sidetracked leaving Beth at the bar alone. She meets Rio the owner. They have an immediate attraction to each other but both are involved with other people. Rio's relationship with Rhea is more serious. Things get complicated.

Summary
Beth Boland has left her cheating, abusive husband, but thats not all he has done to her. She stops to fill up with gas and all of her credit cards are declined. Rio, a complete stranger to her, steps in to help her out especially since she has her two kids in the car.
She feels like she is in over her head because she is also 6 weeks pregnant with Dean's baby. She is scared, pregnant, with two children to worry about. Rio befriends her and becomes someone who helps her through some very painful situations.
Rio and Beth both feel something from the moment they meet and it builds from there.
It is pretty much love at first sight even though they come from very different worlds. They change the direction of each others lives and give each other things they both thought they would never have. However, getting there holds a whole lot of challenges for them.

Beth has a bad car accident. It shakes her up and makes her look at her life and relationships again. She realizes how quickly life can change in a moment. Her immediate reaction after the accident makes her take note of her inner feelings, her reality.
She develops PTSD, as she keeps reliving the accident over and over in her head. She has panic attacks and starts to feel she is losing control over herself.
This story is about her navigating herself through some difficult challenges. She has always been the strong one, there for everyone else but now she needs others' help and struggles with it. She finds out who is there for her.
This story takes place season 2 episode 9, just after Beth kicks Rio out of her bed after sleeping with him.
