People got lost here all the time. The place was a maze. Usually adults, looking to buy something illegal and ending up getting sold illegally instead. Kids were different. They cried and panicked. They, for sure, didn’t fight back.
And yet this one was.
He grabbed the kid and started walking, tugging him along without much thought. He didn’t know where he was going. Or why. He just knew he wanted to spend more time with him.
There was a tug in his chest. He felt… happy.
Zanka.
That was the kid’s name.

“Hm.” Pidge doesn’t look at him. “Thrilling.” There’s another pause. “Keith?”
Keith lifts a hand vaguely, the one not currently holding his drink, waving it off without much thought. “Same.”
Pidge finally turns her head again. Just stares at them. Then rolls her eyes so hard it’s almost audible. “I wonder why that is.”

The moment he learned it’d snowed in the night and stuck, Till knew what he wanted to do with Ivan: make snowmen. It wasn’t childish right? Adults still did this right?

The first time it happened was when he was 10 years old.
He remembers being dragged by the hair into this dark room. He’d resisted doing something Urak told him to do, and Urak wasn’t pleased. He got thrown in aggressively, with Urak spitting something about him being a shitty excuse of a pet before the door was slammed shut, and Till was engulfed in darkness.
