Summary
Ken Yoshimura leads a good life: he’s graduated college, his stepfather, Kuzen Yoshimura, has acquired him a prestigious position at his company, and after a chance encounter, he has a prospective partner in his old classmate Touka Kirishima. Things couldn’t be better for him.
However, that night, the suicide of Eto, his stepsister and old crush, weighs suddenly on his mind, even though they weren’t close. It’s a weight that leads him on a short journey down memory lane, offhandedly wondering what would change if she were still alive— what would change if he'd saved her. But what’s done is done, and the clock cannot be reversed.

Eto, bleeding out and half a body, drags herself to the deepest part of Cochlea, where she knows he'll be. Once she gives him his crown to destroy the egg, she can finally leave (die) with nothing left unsaid. But fate is cruel, and memories are a loathsome thing, wont to pop up at the worst times. Memories of earliness, black coffee, and fruitful discussions.
Kaneki was ten minutes early, and Takatsuki was ten minutes late.
