Gus has been winging it since the start of this whole thing. With his mother, brother, and Felix gone, he's gotten even more reckless. All Gus is really doing is buying time, until a particular group of strange Strigoi are in need of his assistance in taking down The Master. He's all but happy to risk it all for a little revenge and a handsome pay-check. In the process of becoming their Sun Hunter, he forms an unexpected connection with the half Strigoi, Vaun. It's the only thing he can do not to fall completely over the edge.
