Sam’s brain trips up as he gets to his feet and stares down at Bucky’s hands holding his. "Wait, is this the most action you’ve gotten since before Steve and I found you?”
“I’ve been out of cryo for more than four years, Sam. Not counting the five where we blinked out of existence.”
“So, is that a no, or...”

Summary
In a world where everything you write on your own skin appears on your soulmates, both Sam and Bucky grew up alone. But while Bucky convinced himself, until the day he fell off that train, that he would never have a soulmate; Sam was sure his would come around eventually.
--
He kept repeating the same things over and over.
Кто ты?
Где ты?
Sam tried to translate them, and he thought his soulmate was asking: who are you? Where are you?
Sam took a long time figuring out how to reply.
Я твоя вторая половинка. He finally, and very carefully, wrote back when he was 17. I’m your soulmate.
He didn’t get a reply for a long time after that. And even then, it didn’t seem to help.
Кто ты?
Sam sighed when the reply came in 6 months later. “I don’t know, man. Who are you?”

Summary
The Winter Soldier is Sam’s mission. Sam chases him, day and night, through different countries, and the hunt turns electric, chaotic. Every move draws them closer, but Barnes slips through his fingers like a ghost.
Or that’s what Sam thinks.
The truth is that Bucky is chasing him, because Sam Wilson isn’t the Winter Soldier’s mission, he’s Bucky Barnes’ obsession.
In this cat and mouse game, the Winter Soldier catches a very pretty bird.

Summary
“It’s a very long story,” he said.
Well, that wasn’t exactly true. The basic truth itself could be summed up real easy: that guy right there is me from the future and that’s his pal Sam, also from the future. All the details and the questions afterwards - only half of which got actual answers - that’s what really took so long.
When a version of himself from the future is brought back to the past right in front of him suddenly HYDRA isn't the most interesting thing in this war. But the more time Bucky spends with himself and the new companion who came with him, the more questions he finds himself with. How much time has really passed? How much can one man be changed from himself? Who is this Sam - and what will he grow to mean to Bucky?

Summary
Steve always calls to check in on Bucky when he has to be gone too long. Bucky could tell him it's REALLY not necessary, but torturing Sam is a little too fun. Sam's just doomed.
