How many years has it been? Akito can't even recall. Only remembering the sound of yelling, panic, and loud cracking, the sound of his mother and his sister calling his name as they slowly lost each other in the crowd of running people.
Why was everyone running? Quite simple, their planet was cracking, splitting.

Rui is—or, well, was a very popular train conductor and a messenger for intergalactic mail delivery or traveling. Yet as the years went by, many more effective ways of traveling were made, and even sending or obtaining messages became much easier. And as more years went by, the old methods were lost, and Rui was forgotten.He's a conductor and messenger; the last person in his profession who still uses the old methods. Sure, he's aware that new ways of doing what he does have been made, and the speed and convenience they bring along.
But he can't let it go.

There was a night festival that day. And one of the knights for the Light kingdom ventured a bit too far into the forest. Until he spotted the soft white moonlight radiating over a meadow of white lilies. In the center lay a gazebo, which looked abandoned, surrounded by a garden of lilies with vines that covered the view. It was beautiful, yet the soft melody of a music box carried by the gentle breeze filled the air.

The bullying might be worse than ever but his life is better than ever. He has friends and that alone should be enough. Even his greedy heart can’t wish for more.
Tsukasa promised himself he will help Rui. There is no world in which he’ll let his dear ones suffer.

This fic killed me; I will never recover, and I still think about this on a day-to-day basis. I recall waking up knowing there would be a new chapter, and it was what made me go through my day. It is a very beautiful fic buy MY GOD does it make you want to kill yourself, I had taken numerous breaks as I found myself crying or unable to keep reading. Very great fic, amazing writing, made me cry, and it sticks to its tags. I love making Rui suffer in my own fics, it isn't yippie yay when I see him suffering in the fics I read, though. Regardless, I vividly recall reading the suicide chapter crying my eyes out and sending voice messages to all my friends crying with nothing but pure agony in my voice; horrible day that was, I kept thinking about it afterwards. When it comes to mind or when I'm recommending this fic to my friends, I catch my eyes becoming all watery. 10/10 amazing.
