Basically, I have always just thought Hotch and JJ have had a very strong, respectful, but entirely different bond of friendship compared to anyone else on the team throughout the show, so I wanted to portray that more. These stories pull back the curtain on a couple of scenarios that I hope really show the depth of their relationship not only as friends, but also being the only two who understand the heartache and reward of being a parent.
