“The boys...” Etho began, his voice quiet and strained. “Our boys... they’re not okay, Cleo. Bdubs is still in denial. Keeps saying you’re going to walk through the door any minute. I don’t know how to make him see... I don’t know if I want to.”
He paused, pouring the next chemical into the mixture, watching as the liquid swirled together. “And Scar,” he continued, shaking his head, “Scar hasn’t spoken to me since we got the news. He just... shut down. I think he blames me. Maybe I blame me too.”

Summary
Written for Sage (everythursday), for the 3keys Community All Hallows Eve Fic Exchange. The trauma of war and loss casts a heavy shadow as Draco and Hermione take a trip to a remote country manor. They're not the only ones in residence, however. Draco's planning a proposal, but he has his own ghosts to deal with first.
