Summary
“Fuck you Eijirou!” The blonde shouted before shoving the taller man harder.
After the initial stumble backwards into his apartment, Eijirou grabbed at Bakugou’s biceps, lifting him up until his feet were off the ground. He shoved the smaller man’s body up against the wall with an inevitable thud. It shook the picture frames, and echoed throughout the apartment, but did little to stop Katsuki from thrashing and shoving, eyes filled with a storm of emotions Eijirou had wanted so badly to subside.
“Why’re you angry?” The redhead snapped, face only inches away from Katsuki’s. “What the hell did I do?”
“You’ve given me a god damn, bullshit reason,” the other man shouted with tear filled eyes.
There was so much anger, so much frustration, but beyond that Eijirou could see the strict sadness, the tightly wound depression that plagued the blonde’s mind and body.
“A reason? What are you talking about?” He shook his head exasperatedly.
“A reason to fucking stay!”
Or, Eijirou falls in love with the man who had thought he was ready to leave this world behind.

Summary
Penguins are overrated, in Katsuki's mind. They smell, they're loud, and they shit every ten minutes. How he ended up working with them, he doesn't know, but he hates it.
Okay, so maybe he needed a pay raise. Sue him. That doesn't mean he enjoys it. It's hard to enjoy getting bit every time he so much as looks at a penguin, after all. Let alone when he tries to handle one.
It certainly doesn't help that he keeps getting paired with Kirishima, who's all smiles and way too damn friendly for his own good.

Or, when Katsuki works as an animal handler because he's broke and hungry, and inadvertently warms up to both the penguins, and a certain red-haired boy.

Summary
Bakugo let himself taste a little of the hard-won peace he so often struggled to accept.
And if Bakugo could oblige the belief that he was worthy, then perhaps Kirishima could also face all of the things he told himself he'd never be ready for.
When it came to falling in love with his best friend, Kirishima probably could've done with two pieces of advice: Be nice until it's time to not be nice. And you can't be everything you want to be before your time. But wisdom often comes when it can no longer do any good, so it's Bakugo who winds up beating him to the punch.
(Kirishima is hit with a classic case of 'when you know, you know' but admitting it is a different story.)
