Summary
Samira fastens the muzzle over his face with a practiced hand, patting his cheek lovingly before retreating. She looks down at her handiwork, lip pulled taut between her teeth. Jack sits on the ground, his good leg curled under him and his residual limb sprawled out to the side. He's naked except for the muzzle, already half-hard. His eyes are beginning to glaze over, and a pink flush is rising up to his cheeks past the thick black collar twined around his neck.

Summary
Samira’s bones ached with the kind of exhaustion that went beyond muscle and marrow — it was the kind that lived behind the eyes, that pressed into the soul. The fluorescent lights of the hospital still lingered in her vision even after the elevator ride, even after the walk home through the chilled Pittsburgh night. Her fingers were still trembling faintly from the endless charting, the alarms, the sterile smell of antiseptic that clung to her like a second skin.
She had always thought she could handle everything on her own. That had been the rule she built her life around — never rely, never need, never ask. It had gotten her through med school, through New York, through four months of days that bled into nights and nights that ended in cold cafeteria coffee. But it had also hollowed her out.
And then there was Jack.Series

Summary
It wasn’t that people didn’t know that Jack and Samira were in a relationship. They had done all the necessary paperwork, had navigated the scheduling required to keep a fourth year resident from being supervised by the attending with whom she was in a Consensual Workplace Relationship. But they didn’t broadcast it–at least, they never had before.
