Summary
In unearthing the Nomu Factory, the Heroes and police of Japan discovered a body. This was not unexpected, but the nationality and uniform of the corpse in question… that was. Because this failed Nomu wore the uniform of Amestris, a war torn nation from the isolated continent of Atossa, where Quirks and modern electronics had never developed and never worked.
Edward Elric hoped he could retire from military service in peace, traveling Amestris while his brother Alphonse went to Xing. This is put on hold when now-Führer Mustang asks him to travel to the Outside, to the world beyond that was barricaded for centuries after the development of something called ‘Quirks’. A soldier has been killed and Amestris needs to know more about the Outside.
…
Or, Edward Elric and Amestris meet the greater world of Heroes and Villains. It remains to be seen who’s more traumatized by the encounter.

Touya clutches at the phone in his hands like the lifeline it is. If Touya played his cards right, this could be their chance to escape. No more hurt and pain and tears and fear. If Touya did this right they could be safe.
This was do or die.
It rings once. Then twice. Then a click.
“Hellooo, listener! You’re on air! What’s on your mind tonight?”
Or, Touya wants nothing more than to get him and his siblings out of their house and away from their father. To do this, he makes a last-ditch attempt and calls into Present Mic's radio station.

OMG!! I definitely want to read this.
Have read until chapter 13 now. I really like it and would love to read more.
The author is very detailed with the story line and the pacing is a bit slower than I expected, which is a shame. There is a tendency for scenes to be repeated from different characters' point of views, a feature I don't really like unfortunately. Other than that it's really good though. Especially the characters seem to be very much canon alike, even in their on minds. I raise my glass. -

Summary
Bilba has grown up the unwanted granddaughter of the Thain of the Kingdom of Shire but, as she rarely visits the palace, the relationship holds little meaning to her. Instead she focuses on her second year of college, her ballet career and her slowly burgeoning romance with Bofur, a crew member with her ballet company.
The same day Bilba is set to preform on stage for the first time with her company, the kingdom of Shire is anticipating another event. That very evening will oversee the political, arranged marriage between Thorin Durin, Crown Prince of Erebor, and an unnamed Princess of Shire (so unnamed because Bilba's grandfather is a paranoid bastard).
Bilba doesn't care about any of this, she hasn't been invited and has no interest in other countries, politics or other such machinations.
Just before she's set to preform, however, Bilba suddenly finds herself dragged from the theater and taken to appear before her grandfather at the palace.
There she is informed she WILL be participating in the wedding after all.

Summary

i like it a lot more than originally thought when I read the summary. The pacing is good, the characters are well written and the interactions seem decently realistic. Would love to read more of this.
