    During a battle, Midoriya gets hit by a villain whose quirk detaches his soul from his body. Stuck in a ghost-like state, the boy enters a race against time in order to save himself from permanently dying. Much to his luck - or lack of it -, the only person who can see and talk to him in this state is no one other than Kacchan.

    Alternatively: Deku and Kacchan are soulbound.

    This story was INCREDIBLE. The way both Katsuki’s and Izuku’s emotions and feeling are captured is astounding and the details and parallels are so well thought out. The slow burn is SLOW which I’m so happy for, is a slow burn takes less than 10 hours to read then it ain’t a real slow burn. They way they grow as characters has to be one of my favourite character developments in any fanfiction I’ve ever read. Katsuki’s feelings are so thorough and relatable that I found myself just so incredibly captivated and immersed in the story and not the mention some of my absolute favourite fanfic tropes are in it. These two mean so much to me and this story is beyond anything I have ever read and I NEED to reread it again in the future; not just for the cute silly moments but for my own self reflection. Katsuki goes through so many complicated emotions about his grief over the way he treated Izuku, and I see that in myself. The talks and subjects in this story was actually eye opening to my own experiences brought me so much comfort. Comfort that I can be a better person too. This story wasn’t just another fanfiction, this was an experience. One I most certainly want to live again.

    “Sounds about right.” Grian nodded wearily.
    “Well, fine. All we need to do is be careful and not die, yeah? Seems simple enough. Just focus on staying safe, gearing up, and trying to get home. And the admins will surely be looking for us.”
    Grian looked around at the birch clearing, then up at the sky, sun blazing overhead. “I mean, it sounds fine in theory… but these are the Watchers we’re talking about. Who knows why they sent us here. And surely they have some sort of trick up their sleeve.”

    Dude trust me you need to reread this, like I have genuinely cried more during this book then I have any other fanfiction I have ever read. The emotions this book makes me feel are disgusting. Like I have experience literal anguish and the book isn’t even finished yet as I wrote this. Trust me, this is a keeper.
