Mk’s head jerks up, his tail was stiff and all puffed up, he’d know that voice anywhere. In front of him was someone he thought he’d never see again, he was a little translucent, but it was undoubtedly his former mentor. He falls off of his chair and lands onto the ground with a thunk.
“M-Monkey King?!”

“Kid, why are you calling at-” Wukong looks at the time on his phone “four in the morning? In fact, why have you been calling all night?” he asks.
“Sooooo, I might've have gotten kidnapped, and they're using Huang Jinshen (a golden rope that binds its enemy) so I kinda can't escape…” Mk laughs uneasily.

This wasn’t supposed to happen, today was supposed to be a normal day, but no, in normal Sun Wukong fashion he just had to have made the situation worse.
They were supposed to be doing some shopping in the underground demon market when some demon bumps into Macaques’s shoulder and had the audacity to pick a fight with him.
(or Wukong caused both him and macaque to fuse into one body.)
