The warm rays of the morning sun filtered through the curtains, casting a golden glow across the room, as Akutagawa reluctantly awoke from his slumber. Blinking against the brightness, he struggled to sit up, feeling a tangle of unruly hair resembling a bird's nest atop his head. His tired eyes drooped with remnants of sleep, still yearning for a few more moments of rest. Summoning his willpower, Akutagawa swung his legs over the edge of the bed and planted his feet firmly on the floor. The cool sensation of the wooden floorboards met his bare skin, sending a slight shiver up his spine. He glanced around the room, taking in the familiar sight of his belongings scattered haphazardly, revealing his dishevelled state of mind.
