The thoughts just kept flowing, keeping him in this weird subliminal space where he was so convinced it was just him and his thoughts — and the box, of course — that he never heard the approaching footsteps behind him.
“Did you find it, Minnie?”
Seungmin jumped at the sudden voice, the box slipping off his lap and rattling the contents. He whipped his head to Chan like a deer caught in headlights. Chan looked startled himself, eyebrows furrowed before he peaked past Seungmin. His eyes went wide as his ears turned a deep crimson, spreading to his neck.
“I’m— I wasn’t trying to— I’m sorry, hyung, I—“
“Min, it’s okay. It’s a baby blue box, it’s gonna grab attention. I’m not mad or anything, just… a little embarrassed. No one else knows but it’s whatever now. Let’s just leave it, okay?” Chan rubbed the nape of his neck sheepishly, a light chuckle filling the air.
Or, Seungmin accidentally finds a box hidden in Chan's closet and it haunts him.
