Every morning for the last twenty-eight days, Hermione settled into her office and braced herself for the influx of letters that would no doubt threaten to flood the small space. On the first day, bright red envelopes spewed all manner of hateful words and threats, but as the days passed, and the community at large realized that their howlers were being immediately destroyed, their grievances manifested themselves instead onto unassuming parchment letters. Every day since the announcement, she combed through those letters, responded where she felt necessary, and passed along her deepest sympathies.
