Summary
With his pupils out of his care, Kakashi Hatake finds himself unusually bored... That is, until Tsunade, the newly appointed Hokage, tasks him with finding and investigating a mysterious ANBU agent who escaped from Kirigakure seven years ago and hid herself in Konoha. Now he needs to find out whether she is a spy or not, as well as fill her file with all the information he can get. He needs to get closer, but Emi keeps everyone at arm's length like her life depends on it. In fact, the past seven years working at ANBU have made her a perfect shadow.
Will he ever find out where her loyalties lie? Or, at the very least, how the hell has she managed to become one of Konoha's most lethal agents without ever being noticed? The more he pushes her, the more she pulls away, and yet he quickly finds himself hypnotized by her mystery, or, perhaps, by Emi herself...
