Daisuke thought of all the times that he had tried to make Swansea proud. He had tried to so hard to please him and show him that what he was teaching him was working and that he was learning. He wished he could have done more. He wished that he had listened to Swansea and refused to get into the vent. He shouldn't have gotten into the vent. He should have listened.

Summary
In a slightly different timeline, just a little to the left and up, where the ship is a good distance away from its horrible predestined course, Curly takes a good, long hard look at his friend, sucks it up, clenches his jaw and really, really tries to fix things, just as he promised Anya he would. Jimmy doesn't take it well.
But maybe, it will be enough to keep the crew alive - just this one time.or the one where Curly actually confronts Jimmy and Jimmy lashes out at him, violently, but it's not as easy to sell the lie when the evidence on Curly's body isn't burnt off along with his skin.
