Something flickers across Rozanov’s face. His jaw twitches. “Yes, I know about Lily.” He raises his eyebrows.
Hayden feels like a complete asshole, all of a sudden. There’s just been too much going on to even think about Shane’s mystery girlfriend. “Shit, I should probably, like, call her, or something? I don’t know this girl at all, but Shane’s been obsessed with her for years. If she was watching the game, she would have seen him get hurt.”
“You don’t need to call her,” Rozanov says, and when Hayden glances at him, he still looks fucking miserable but now he’s rolling his eyes, a much more familiar expression of disdain on his face. “She’s sitting right here.”

The confession sits like an elephant between them, and yet, Ilya hasn’t moved, tracing soothing circles between Shane’s shoulder blades.
“Sweetheart.” His husband’s voice is steady, soothing. “You need to breathe for me, okay? This isn’t good for you.”
OR, after a night out with J.J. and Hayden, Shane wakes up, certain that he has cheated on Ilya. (Spoiler alert: he hasn’t)

Scott winces when Kip mutters something unintelligible in his sleep. He’s too surprised to move when Kip rolls on his side and wraps his arms around Scott, pulling him close with a sleepy “Hmmmmm” and pressing a kiss on Scott’s forehead.
Oh.
Scott tenses up and holds his breath, his eyes wide open. He doesn’t dare to move. He didn’t want to wake Kip up, especially not when he has to go to work in the morning, but this … this is nice. Scott never had this. He was never held at night, never felt somebody else’s heartbeat against his chest. He never felt so … safe.

Ilya hears the door opening before he sees it. He sits up sharply, already angling his phone towards his chest, thumb hovering over the End Call button. Shane doesn’t speak, though Ilya watches his expression shift into something grave and concerned. They both know the routine at this point; it wouldn’t be the first time this week Ilya has ended a call abruptly to avoid interruption.
The head that appears in the doorway is far lower than he expects it to be, and it takes him a moment to fully register.
“Zhenya?” he asks, frowning. “Are you alright?”
The girl nods, her little hand still clutching the door handle. “Can I come in?”
Or: Shane and Ilya speak often, while Ilya is in Moscow for his father's funeral. Tonight, Ilya has company.

David Hollander loves Instagram.
Ilya showed it to him one night while he was having dinner with them, specifically posts from the Foundation and the camps, and it somehow led to David setting up his own account. For the most part, it’s dinner and Yuna and sometimes Shane, but there are also pieces of Ilya there: a completed puzzle, chicken parmesan, ice cream. David can’t post Ilya, obviously, but he wants Ilya to look at his account and know that he’s there, too.
When the video comes out, and the boys are thrown into a chaos they don’t deserve, some selfish part of David is relieved because now the entire world can know how much David–how much all the Hollanders–love Ilya Rozanov.

That does the trick, Ravi's eyes opening again, this time sparkling with curiosity. "Viral?"
Buck hums. "On Reddit. I made a fake account and uh…" His hand comes up to scratch at his neck, that humiliation making a hasty return. It's not his finest moment. He winces, blurting his crime out. "Posted on relationship advice."
Ravi's mouth drops open, and he sits up, his precious sleep long forgotten. "About Tommy?"
"Yeah," Buck confirms grimly. "The last time I checked, there were almost fifteen hundred comments."

Buck frowns.
“What? H-have I done something wrong?” Buck questions.
“No! Of course not, it’s just…”
“Cap! We need jaws, we can’t get into the car to help him.” Eddie’s voice cracks through the radio. Buck whips his head around to face the scene, ready to take off running to help.
That’s when he sees it.
The license plate that makes his stomach churn.
The pride flag fire engine that used to make his heart flip.
The once shiny silver metal is now scratched and bent and contorted into a shape unimaginable.
It’s Tommy’s car.
