Summary
Bilbo could scarcely believe it when he turned the corner of a deep hall in Mirkwood and heard Thorin's voice in the darkness. At first he had been so exceptionally glad to have found the dwarf that he all but ripped the magic ring from his finger and exposed himself to the elven guards. But something about Thorin's voice stayed his hand. The words coming from behind the prison door were so wrought with emotion that Bilbo wondered if Thorin himself even knew what he was speaking.
No, not speaking. Praying. Thorin Oakenshield was praying.

Summary
Bofur enjoys being single, but his workmate Thorin keeps setting him up on horrible blind dates. Having enough, he bribes his friend Nori into pretending to be his boyfriend in hopes that it will make Thorin leave him be. Unfortunately, fake-dating Nori has its own set of complications and Bofur realizes he might have to go all-in on a chance to win Nori's heart for real.

Summary
Getting an uhi tattoo was not about putting a design onto the flesh, but more about clearing away the dirt and pain and revealing the hidden jewel beneath. Something that managed to evoke both the bearer's past and his potential. It provoked a spiritual transformation- as if changing the skin's surface also altered the soul.
Dwalin was covered in tattoos, each with a specific purpose and meaning.

Summary
Thorin hates IKEA. He hates it with the kind of single-minded rage that is normally reserved for neighbors with loud music after 9PM, or people who don't use blinkers on the thru-way. When the Canton store first opened, he had gone with some friends to buy a bookcase and lost half a day wandering amongst the displays. He vowed never to go back.
