“Are you staring at me while I sleep?”
He snapped out of it when he heard that voice.
His face flushed as he met Tyler’s half-awake eyes, and realized he was still touching his wrist.
He let go slowly, smiling awkwardly.“Just thinking.”
Tyler looked down at his own wrist, confused, still feeling the soft touch lingering there.
“Thinking about what?”
Josh stayed quiet for a moment.
He knew how sensitive this was, how Tyler hated the idea of having made him go through that pain.
But there was no point in hiding.“I was thinking about how happy I am that you’re here with me.
How far we’ve come.
And how glad I am that you’re alive.”
