He hadn’t known much about Clarke Griffin before taking the assignment. For what he’s getting paid, he doesn’t even think to look much into her. Figures he’ll just be trailing some overachieving teenager around a castle, hopes there’s someone halfway attractive employee on the grounds for an occasional fuck. Maybe once in a while he’ll have to throw a few punches or empty a clip into someone’s chest, but it’s nothing he’s not used to. Overall, he’s expecting this to be another run of the mill assignment.
He could not have been more wrong.

I've changed this description a thousand times. None of them felt honest. I just wanted to read a story of broken people finding each other and dancing to good music in the middle of nowhere. I also wanted to figure out how to write about consuming love. The beginning isn't great, it slowly gets better. It's dramatic, extreme, a very unrealistic love story. But it is a love story. And there are a few lines that make me smile.

"They say you're not supposed to see the bride in her dress before the wedding." She caps her eyeliner and puts it down on the vanity table, finally turning on the bench to face him. "It breaks tradition."

“Are you trying to copy Daddy?” he asks sweetly, bopping her nose with his finger. He snorts again, and she grins. She tries to copy the sound, but it comes out as more of an oink than a snort.
Clarke throws back her head and laughs. “Listen to her,” she giggles as Amelia oinks away, entertained by her new sound. “She’s like a little piglet!”
