Cuando tiene mayor edad y viaja a Gusu Lan, sus estudios durante su adolescencia le permitirán conocer al atrayente Lan WangJi, el segundo hermano Lan. Wei Wuxian hará lo posible por simpatizar a su próximo cuñado...
Todo era una experiencia perfecta, su boda sería perfecta, su matrimonio sería exitoso ¡incluso los astrólogos han determinado gran compatibilidad entre él y Lan XiChen!
...Si tan sólo Wei Wuxian no se sintiera tan espantosamente atraído por el segundo hermano Lan, Lan WangJi.
Esta historia es 90% Wangxian, 10% ChenXian (?).

Lan Wangji checked the file for his next patient and noted the marker that told him it was a new indentured servant examination. He flicked to the section that explained why they were being committed to serve and his eyebrows went up to see that the debt was not the patient’s, not Wei Ying's. He had apparently volunteered to cover his brother’s debts, to prevent his brother from being put into servitude.
Lan Wangji flicked to the preliminary scan information, which included a candid photo of Wei Ying that would be used when posting his contract. He was – Lan Wangji took a breath. He was startlingly handsome, so beautiful. There was almost no way that his contract wouldn’t be a sexual one. There might even be a bidding war for him.
Lan Wangji is a doctor tasked with examining Wei Ying, including testing how he responds to certain sexual situations.

Being an alpha is not just good, not just convenient or respected or familiar. It’s right. It’s who he is. Everything about him – the way he walks, the way he speaks, the way he can make opponents back off with a flash of his eyes, or protect a child feeling vulnerable with a low sound – draws on it.
Wei Wuxian doesn’t know how to be an omega. Omegas are complicated. There are so many rules and expectations, both spoken and unspoken; there are clothes and scents and whole medication regimes. There’s the need to obey an alpha – any alpha – who chooses to use compulsion. There are heats.
Fucking fuck, there are heats.

The boy who sneaks alcohol into the Cloud Recesses, who flouts rules as if hundreds of years of tradition were a game, who gets pleasure from needling Lan Wangji… and who now was missing.
