Summary
Eddie's always been different, too fidgety, too loud, like if he didn't move, didn't say anything then maybe he'd stop existing all together. Now, every time Eddie closes his eyes he sees Chrissy, in every silence he can hear her bones breaking. Sitting still feels like an invitation to world to screw him over in some new and horrifically creative way. He's barely slept in the months following Vecna's defeat, and at this point he's constantly a casual comment away from shattering.
'You know what though? The universe has a sick fucking sense of humour, and if there was one thing Eddie had learned in his 20 years of life it was that no matter how bad things were,
“They can always get worse”. The words were barely more than a rasp past Eddie’s chapped lips, and he cringed at the sound of his own voice. How pathetic. It couldn’t have been more than a couple hours since he’d woken up and already he’d been reduced to screaming shrilly into the silence, trying anything to break its suffocating weight. 'Steve wouldn’t have panicked so quickly,' the voice in his head was too loud in the quiet, and immobile as he was Eddie had no way to quiet it. Not today.'

Jughead is easily perturbed, but rarely truly angry it seems. Only a few have seen him in true, untamed fury, and those who have can never forget the look in his eyes. But he's the Serpent King now, and the old Jughead being mad looks like a temper tantrum.
