As if the overwhelming fame of being a public figure didn’t have enough drawbacks as it was, having a disconcertingly capable, competent James Potter as a bodyguard was never quite on the list of Regulus’ problems.
Though the fact that Potter was skilled at his assigned task didn’t retract the factor that he was a dickhead; the dickhead who’d been — in Regulus’ eyes — partially responsible for the wall between him and his brother.
Regulus would’ve scoffed in your face had you told him he’d resign himself to the fact that Potter wasn’t that bad after all.
And yet, fate had a funny way of working. Or does it?

Pristine and Pureblooded, yet never enough.
Erinnyes Athena Crouch was groomed from a young age to uphold the Crouch name. She never saw much in it, her father had been moved down in the Wizarding ranks after the first war anyways. He always blames his son, Erin's brother, Barty.
It didn't help that there was no gentle hand of a mother, that there was only her father and a house elf that raised her and mold her. She was left to try and fix the tarnish her brother left, be perfect and pure. From what she knew of her imprisoned brother she was much to similar to him, earily so, enough so her father wouldn't utter a word of him without throwing a fit.
She's supposed to always listen without complaint, but what if that's the same thing that driver her brother to the insanity the led him to dying in Azkaban?
