I have zero interest in femslash, but just skipping over a paragraph or two made this perfectly readable, and there's something very appealing about it. it's a slightly more raw take on the characters than some -- both Nat and Clint are as paranoid as they should be, and there's no miraculous instant "We're family!" moment, which is quite a refreshing change.

Phil had been walking up to a bystander during their latest case when the man abruptly turned away and started running. Phil set off in pursuit, mentally upgrading the man from person of interest to suspect when he leaped over a garbage truck emptying garbage cans.
