Summary
Getting onto the Hogwarts Express after winter break, Oliver was filled with both nerves and excitement. He felt different from when he was in this same place doing the same thing earlier this September.
So what was different?
Over winter break, Oliver had finally told his parents and two of his closest friends (James and Sirius, Remus already knew) that he was in fact a he, not a she like they had thought before. It was definitely a weight lifted from him.
Well, okay, maybe not lifted, so to say, more like shifted to a different position.
See, while his parents and fellow Marauders now all knew, the rest of the school didn't, including his other group of closest friends, Mary, Marleen, and Lily: his roommates.
He wanted to tell them, of course he did!
Still, he had been their roommate for the past three and a half years, would they hate him? Think he was lying to them on purpose? How do you start this kind of conversation?
