Todoroki steals another short glance at the Alpha in question anyway, sees him aggressively scribble something down, and feels his traitorous heart skip a beat at the sight.
He wonders if longing for something unreachable is supposed to feel like this. Like free-falling into an endless pit with no one around to save you, like hoping for a quick and painless death only to find no salvation from your suffering.
