At first, it was merely pressure, a suffocating stillness that kept him where he stood. His lungs forgot how to draw breath, and his body failed to obey. The air grew heavier and thick with fragments of words, voices, and scenes that weren’t his own. They continued to dance around him, emitting sparks every now and then.
Then visions spilled across his mind, moments he swore never existed, histories that were not his. And then that’s when he realized, the weight that bound him was not some alien presence; it was Remembrance itself. With THEIR gaze, he was unable to voice out the question stuck in his throat, though it seemed like that didn’t matter as a low rumble soon followed after his thoughts.
