Summary
When a pandemic of Runespoor Fever sweeps through the wizarding world at the end of 2003, leaving a full quarter of its victims infertile, the International Confederation of Wizards takes drastic action. A marriage and reproductive law is enacted, throwing the wizarding world into upheaval.
Lightly inspired by the 1989 film The War of the Roses, (but without the animal death,) and our own recent pandemic.
She was wearing one of her neat, buttoned-up outfits as always; brown herringbone trousers and a silky cream blouse that covered her from throat to wrist, her hair braided around her head but not quite as neat as usual. He stopped several feet from her and frowned. “Why do you smell of smoke, Granger?”
“Does it really matter, Malfoy?” She skewered him with a glare, arms folding across her chest. “Perhaps I took up smoking.”
“And did you?”
She gave him an ‘are you mad?’ look. “No, I burnt down my office,” she said exasperatedly, as if it should’ve been obvious, and he tried to refrain from giving her an ‘are you mad?’ look in return.

Summary
Alicent Hightower gave Viserys Targaryen five children. One is a lazy rake who can't see past his own lust. One is an ambitious boy, hungry for power and validation. One is a dreamer, far too soft for a world so rotten. One was sent to learn to do battle with his uncle.

The moment Alicent held Vaedys in her arms, she knew that the little girl would be her pride and joy. As tensions between the two Targaryen factions continue to worsen, Alicent knows that she has no choice but to give her perfectly molded daughter to Rhaenyra's oldest son for his wife. She had denied him Helaena, but now she has no other choice. But breaking the betrothal between Vaedys and Aemond that had been in place since they were children in favor of marrying her to Jacaerys has unforeseen ramifications.
In an effort to end a war before it begins, she may very well start another.

Summary
After the great outbreak of Runespoor Fever devastates the population of Wizarding Britain, the houses of the Sacred 28 open their doors to Half-Bloods and Muggleborns for the first time in history, inviting all witches who can both prove their virginity and their fertility to participate in the sacred rituals of Beltane.
Hermione, intent on making sure her child is afforded all the privileges she herself never had, signs the magical contract, entering the hunt, with the hopes of being chosen by the Horned One and selected to play the role of the Virgin Goddess. Per the contract, the child that she conceives, due to the particularity of the magic, will be both magically gifted and an heir to one of the great houses of the Sacred 28.
Draco is crowned the Horned One and captures Hermione, who is made the May Queen. What follows is a mating ritual as ancient as time itself.
