Summary
"The tree stands proud and majestic in the middle of the graveyard. Beautiful, and bloody eerie, too. The light is coming up from the west now, just a large, bright streak of crimson orange slowly disappearing on the horizon, behind the large branches of the ash tree.
And that's when Levi hears them.

Summary
Levi is standing at the side of the rink, tying his skates up with practised movements. At this time of night, it’s deserted. He's always loved the feeling of being the only one there—just him, the ice and his thoughts. He approaches the rink, takes off his blade covers, and steps onto the ice.
He inhales deeply, eyes close. Deep breaths, in and out.
And starts skating.

Erwin Smith is a Figure Skating legend who was forced to retire when he lost his arm in a car accident.

There's a plea in his eyes, wide and glazed with arousal and something else, something that's reserved for Erwin's eyes only, something that no one else will ever get the chance to witness. "Please," he says, and Levi never begs.

This has to be the most surreal moment of Erwin’s life, he thinks as he bends over to pick Levi up, carrying him bridal style.

Summary
At night, he entertains the fantasy of slipping into his room under the cover of darkness and sticking his knife into his heart. Wipe that smug arrogant smile from his face with the sharpness of his blade.
He doesn’t think about the surprise and the softness in Erwin’s eyes when he saw the tears in his eyes. In fact, he tries to forget about it—because it doesn’t match the ruthlessness of the Captain’s image he painted in his mind.
He does, however, think of Smith’s fingers on his skin, and his breath on his face, late at night, with his hand shoved deep inside his pants, moving frantically. He thinks about biting into the tender skin of his neck, and roughly pulling at his perfect hair, while he comes all over his hand and stomach, his mouth open in a silent cry.
In the morning, he pretends it never happened, because Levi doesn’t want to stop and think about whatever it means.

He can see himself in the mirror, he realises, almost bent in half against Erwin, eyes dark and blown, mouth parted, lips red and swollen from being kissed so ardently. His cheeks are flushed, and he watches himself flush even redder at the sight. He looks positively debauched like this, completely abandoned in Erwin’s arms, the two of them rocking desperately against each other.
“Keep watching,” Erwin tells him.
