Summary
It’s not that Kim Dokja particularly annoys Song Minwoo, or attracts attention from him, or inspires literally any emotion in him at all. She seriously should, because a murderer’s daughter should be more interesting, but she’s about as average and unmemorable as a Korean schoolgirl can get.

“My big puppy’s gotten impatient.”
Sure, Kim Dokja has teased and called him a puppy to the point it’s basically a nickname now, and yeah, Lee Hyunsung may have — alright, more like definitely — built something of an affinity for it, but this was the first time Dokja claimed Hyunsung as his puppy.
Lee Hyunsung isn’t so ignorant as to not notice the implication there.
“Those two years did you some good,” Kim Dokja says, words breathy and tone a low simmer, as he drags his hand from Hyunsung’s groin to the waistband of his pants. He slips his fingers underneath the shirt hem, feeling the fine tremble as the hard muscles tighten in reflex. “But it looks like I have to… retrain some things.”
Lee Hyunsung returns from his military service, rekindling a flame that never quite went out. Kim Dokja welcomes back his not-so-little puppy, fully intent on appreciating all the man’s “hard work.”

The cheeky bastard rolls down the window of his topless convertible. Looking utterly ridiculous in an ill-fitting luxury blazer with a gas station wolf t-shirt underneath, he taunts the detective. “Babe, you were right. Our favorite detective found us.” The man drags his tongue across the hot pink ring pop around his ring finger and winks at Yoo Joonghyuk.
From her position in the driver seat, the equally infuriating Black Flame Empress leans over her partner to raise Yoo Joonghyuk’s blood pressure a little more. “Told ya he would, the bastard’s obsessed with us. Now you have to be the one wearing the stolen goods tonight.”
