Courtney pushed a little. Just a little. “Maybe not entirely temporary,” she said low, teasing with an edge of something real. “You… you’re really good at making me feel….” She struggled to find the words for a moment, biting her lip in thought. “..At making me feel things I’d rather ignore.” The energy shifted slightly.
“And this is dangerous how?” Mandy was impossibly close, their faces hot. They could almost feel each other. But they were still feet apart. The question was almost a denial of her response before she even said it.
“Because we’re coworkers. You’re my boss. You’re Blonde Blazer and I’m barely a superhero. And we’re drunk.” Courtney admitted, her knees pressing insistently against Mandy’s. She tilted slightly to see Mandy better. To meet her eyes. “But somehow… you’re more than that.”
